"Art Transcending Borders:  Students of Wisdom House and American artist Phillip Martin create a mural that reflects the values of cultural understanding."

In an extraordinary art experiment, students of Dar Al-Hekma School collaborated with American artist Phillip Martin in a groundbreaking art project organized by the Cultural Center in Naqab.  Over five days, at Dar Al-Hekma School, students participated in painting a huge mural that carries a powerful message of cultural understanding and respect for one another.

The mural was more than just a work of art; it provided an opportunity for students to discover new methods of artistic expression, face-to-face with an international artist.  In addition, it was an exciting linguistic challenge, where students communicated with Martin in English, which gave them the confidence to interact with someone from different culture in a global language.

The mural design was a banner, the students chose to have the name of the House of Wisdom intertwined in capital letters, to be a logo of their cultural and artistic identity.  The characters decorating the wall between optimism and openness to the world, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and creativity between different cultures.

In a comment on the experience, the artist Phillip Martin said, "I don't draw alone;  I believer that art is a collective effort.  Even those who have never carried a brush before have a role here.  Every student will remember the part I create in this mural because it is a mural for all of them."

Noteworthy that the House of Wisdom mural is artist Martin's 66th mural in 28 countries, his first mural in Asia.  Martin emphasized that art is one of the ways through which hope and happiness can be brought to communities.

At the conclusion of the project, the head of the school, teacher Reema Solomon, extended her deepest gratitude to the artist Phillip Martin for his support and distinquished efforts in making this project possible, clear that he had a crucilal role in creating a creative and collaborative environment among the students.  And to the project coordinator, teacher Mona Jabbar, for organizing this exceptional event that provided the students the opportunity to express themselves in distinctive artistic way.  Agbariya also gave special thanks to the Director of the Cultural Center, Mr. Fareed Saleh Mohameed, and his generous family who hosted the artist in their home, providing and ideal environment for working and collaboration among all.

This great support had a crucial role in the success of the projects, which reflects the values of cultural open-mindedness, and constitutes an important step towards building bridges of communication between different communities.

Thus, the "House of Wisdom Mural" remains more than just a painting; it is a symbol of cooperation and understanding, and artistic creativity that will continue to inspire generations to come.
