ISRAEL

1. SOCIAL SCIENCES     Teaching Israel, by The Israel Forever Foundation, has multiple resources to inform those interested about the country's history, heritage, Torah, and people.

2. The Lookstein Center is the source of Celebrating Israel Resources.  Multiple links are provided for lesson plans and videos about Israel as well as commemorating October 7th.

3. CURRENT EVENTS     The Institute for Curriculum Services provides information for students about the Arab-Israeli Conflict as well as information about Ancient Israel

4. CURRENT EVENTS     The Israel-Hamas war is front and center on the world stage.  This resource, from Share My Lesson, encourages a comprehensive search into strategies for teaching about the ongoing war.

5. CURRENT EVENTOn the Jewish Educator Portal, there are multiple resources for teaching about Israel in crisis.    

6. ART     Mosaic artwork in Israel dates back centuries.  Art Achieve provides a lesson that could be adjusted for any age group. 

7. CUISINE     Interested in eating well?  These site can introduce you to many treats from Israel: Aish, Chef Shannon Smith, Epicurious, All Recipes, Jamie Geller, Food 52, Vered's Israeli Cooking, and Delicious Israel.

WEST BANK/PALESTINE

1. CURRENT EVENTS     This lesson by Teach Palestine helps students understand how Israelis and Palestinians have different narratives about the same historical events.

2. CURRENT EVENTS     Education 4SC provides information that tries to clarify the different perspectives and complexity of the conflict.

3. CURRENT EVENTS     Voice of Witness provides downloadable curriculum to hear narratives of life in the Arab-Israel conflict.

4. SOCIAL SCIENCES     Teaching While Muslim offers lesson plans on all things Palestinian as well as a lesson plan on Palestinian Voices.

5. SOCIAL SCIENCES     The Zinn Education Project, developed by a Social Studies teacher, uses conflicting narratives to engage student in understanding the events of 1948.

6. ART    Savoir Flair has a lesson about the symbolism found in Palestinian art.
