Where in the World is South Africa?

South Africa is both a stop over and a destination when traveling in the southern part of the continent. As a stopover, you usually have to pass through Capetown or Johannesburg when traveling to Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and the rest of the south. As a destination, there is so much to see. When I lived in Zambia, I'd go to Capetown for the weekend just because I had the weekend available. So, I've been to South Africa more times than I can even remember. However, that isn't enough. I need to return.

If you travel within the country, you'll see wide open spaces and incredible scenery. However, if you are in a car, make sure it's a comfortable seat. It's a long ride whatever your destination.
