Where in the World is Peru?

If you fly to Peru, you fly to Lima.  However, the airport is big, modern and there are easy connections to Cusco.  That's a good thing because it is Peru's biggest tourist attraction.

Trains are very expensive in Peru.  They didn't use to be.  I took them on my first trip from Cusco to Puno.  However, now they are luxury rides for the very rich.  I traveled by bus. There are different kinds of buses. If you have a nice agent at the bus station, the differences are explained.  I took the most expensive bus (about $16) from Cusco to Puno.  It was the best bus I ever rode in.  Three seats spanned the bus.  They reclined, there was room for arms and legs, and it was a direct trip.

The agent on my return to Cusco wasn't so helpful.  I got the wrong bus with four seats across and no room for anything.  That wasn't the worst of it.  This bus stopped in every little town along the way.  The return trip took forever.
