World is the Democratic Republic of the Congo?
However you get to the Democratic
Republic of the Congo, expect to be tired. It is certainly a long
way from almost everywhere. Travel from Ohio took more than
twenty-four hours! You'd think a flight in and out of Kinshasa
would be a requirement, but to get to Kamina, I flew to Lubumbashi by
way of Ethiopia.
Kamina doesn't look so far on the map. It's only around 350 miles. But, to get there from Lubumbushi in the dry season by vehicle can take three to four days. In the rainy season, it can take up to two weeks. It's always better to fly. That takes an hour and a half. HOWEVER, that isn't cheap. It costs the same as a flight to South Africa!
